NAPA, Calif., Aug. 21, 2024 – The Procore Championship is set to return to Napa Valley Sept. 12–15, and all eyes will be on defending champion Sahith Theegala as he heads back to the course where he secured his first PGA TOUR victory last year. The 26-year-old California native, fresh off a season that included several top-five finishes and a strong showing in the FedExCup standings, is looking to build on his success as he competes against a formidable field.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Sahith returning to defend his title at the Procore Championship,” said Andy McDowell, tournament director of the Procore Championship. “He is one of the most electrifying players to watch and we can’t wait to see him showcase his skills once again in Napa.”
Theegala has quickly emerged as one of the most dynamic and talented young players on the TOUR. In 2023, he captured his first career victory at the Fortinet Championship (now the Procore Championship), finishing 21-under-par. This victory capped off a stellar season where he also recorded four top-five finishes and seven top-10 finishes, including a fifth-place finish at the WM Phoenix Open and a sixth-place finish at the 3M Open.
Before turning professional, Theegala was a standout at Pepperdine University, where he won the prestigious Haskins, Ben Hogan, and Jack Nicklaus Awards, becoming only the fifth player in history to win all three in the same year. In addition to his TOUR success, Theegala became an instant fan-favorite following his feature in the Netflix docuseries “Full Swing.”
Spectators have a variety of ticket options to choose from to watch Theegala and other top players compete, ranging from daily grounds tickets to the 1955 Club experience. The new 1955 Club offers fans incredible views of the finishing hole from the comfort of open-air seating in a grove of redwood trees, along with hosted lunch and afternoon snacks, beer and wine tastings from Alpha Omega, Amulet Estate, Freemark Abbey and Revana Family Vineyard. Tickets also have access to VIP restrooms and all the open-to-the-public areas on the course.
