World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and other PGA TOUR Stalwarts to Tee It Up In Napa
NAPA, Calif. (August 29, 2025) – The Procore Championship is set to welcome one of the strongest fields in its history, as ten members of the 2025 U.S. Ryder Cup Team – Scottie Scheffler, J.J. Spaun, Justin Thomas, Patrick Cantlay, Collin Morikawa, Cameron Young, Russell Henley, Harris English, Ben Griffin and Sam Burns – have committed to compete at the annual Napa Valley tournament, September 11-14 at Silverado Resort’s North Course.
With multiple major champions, Ryder Cup veterans, and recent PGA TOUR winners in the mix, the 2025 Procore Championship field boasts some of the most accomplished and in-form players in golf. The combination of world-class talent and competitive fire promises a can’t-miss week for golf fans in Napa Valley.
“We are thrilled to offer our fans the opportunity to watch some of the best stars on the PGA TOUR compete,” said Mike Damaso, the Chairman of Impact Through Golf Napa Valley.
Scottie Scheffler has been the most dominant player on the PGA TOUR in recent years. He won The Masters in 2022 and 2024 and became the first player ever to win THE PLAYERS in back-to-back seasons in 2023 and 2024. His 2025 season has also been otherworldly, highlighted by his major wins at the PGA Championship and The Open Championship. Known for his all-around consistency and composed demeanor, Scheffler will be making his Procore Championship debut.
J.J. Spaun burst onto the big stage with a close runner-up finish at THE PLAYERS in March and then had an incredible victory at the U.S. Open in June. He continues to show that he belongs among the world’s best, as Spaun most recently finished solo second in the opening event of the FedExCup Playoffs. Spaun is making his 10th start at the Procore Championship this year.
Justin Thomas, a two-time major champion (2017, 2022 PGA Championship), former World No. 1, and 16-time PGA TOUR winner, is known for his fiery competitiveness and shot-making creativity. Thomas won for the first time in three years at the RBC Heritage in April. A mainstay on the U.S. Ryder Cup and Presidents Cup teams, Thomas brings both leadership and flair to Napa this year. It will be his seventh time competing in the Procore Championship.
Native Californian Patrick Cantlay will return to his home state to compete in the Procore Championship for the fifth time in his career. An eight-time PGA TOUR winner, Cantlay has long been one of the top players in the world thanks to his tremendous iron play and clutch mentality. He has also been a hallmark on U.S. Ryder Cup and President Teams, boasting an incredible 15-6-1 record in match play. Cantay also won the 2021 FedExCup title, further proof that he is one of the best.
Collin Morikawa, another Californian, has been one of the top players in the world since his 2020 PGA Championship victory at TPC Harding Park. Morikawa, who attended nearby University of California, Berkeley, also won The Open Championship in 2021. In doing so, he became the first player since Bobby Jones in 1926 to win two majors over his first eight starts. In all, Morikawa has seven PGA TOUR victories and will make his third appearance in the Procore Championship this year. His last start came in 2020, when he tied for 10th.
Cameron Young, who earned his maiden PGA TOUR victory at the Wyndham Championship a few weeks ago, will play in the Procore Championship for the first time since 2022. Known as one of the longest drivers of the golf ball in the world, Young relied on his superior distance off the tee throughout the FedExCup Playoffs, which included two top 5 finishes during that three week stretch.
Russell Henley, a five-time PGA TOUR winner, is recognized for his sharp iron play and consistency. His most recent victory came at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in March. Henley finished among the top-10 at both the U.S. Open and The Open Championship this season and remains a threat to win any week he tees it up.
Harris English, who has now won five times on the PGA TOUR, is admired for his calm demeanor under pressure and ability to deliver in high-stakes moments. He played a key role in the historic U.S. victory at the 2021 Ryder Cup and continues to excel against elite fields. English came in second to Scheffler at both the PGA Championship and The Open Championship this year. The 2025 Procore Championship will mark English’s eighth appearance in the event.
Ben Griffin returns to the Procore Championship for the first time since 2023 after a career year that saw him win on the PGA TOUR for the first time. In April, Griffin, with Andrew Novak as his teammate, won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans. Then, he won the Charles Schwab Challenge a month later at Colonial. Griffin also posted a pair of top 10 finishes at the PGA Championship and U.S. Open, the best finishes of his major championship career. His strong play in 2025 led Captain Keegan Bradley to use one of his captain’s picks on him.
Five-time PGA TOUR winner Sam Burns will tee it up at the Procore Championship for the third time in his career, with his last appearance at Silverado Resort coming in 2021. His 2025 campaign featured remarkable consistency as Burns recorded six top 10 finishes, which includes a runner-up finish at the RBC Canadian Open. That strong play led Burns to make his fourth straight Ryder Cup/Presidents Cup team this year.
PGA TOUR members have until 5 p.m. ET / 2 p.m. PT on Friday, September 5 to commit to the 2025 Procore Championship. The full field will be announced later that day.
Spectators will enjoy a full slate of on-site experiences throughout the week. The Visit Napa Valley Fan Village, situated between the 18th fairway and 13th green, will serve as the tournament’s central hub with local food and beverage offerings, sponsor activations, shaded seating, and a big screen showing live tournament coverage. The Meiomi Wine Terrace returns on the 17th hole, offering a scenic view of the signature par-3 and a glass of Golden State wine. Near the No. 1 tee and practice area, fans can enjoy the Procore food truck and test their swing on the Dryvebox simulator, featuring a virtual version of the 17th hole.
General admission tickets start at $55 per day and include access to PGA TOUR competition, all fan zones, and public viewing areas. Children 15 and under are admitted free with a ticketed adult (up to four per adult). Daily parking is $25 and can be purchased in advance online.
